Biography:
Adam J. Marshall is a partner at Law Firm Carolinas whose practice focuses on homeowner and condominium association law, land use and zoning, and business law. Based in Greensboro, he represents North Carolina community associations and assists clients with real estate, business transactions, corporate governance, and collection matters.
Adam advises association clients on governing document interpretation, governance, and assessment collection. He helps clients understand their authority, evaluate available options, and make informed, practical decisions.
Adam leads the firm’s land use, zoning, and planning practice. His background includes service on the Greensboro Board of Adjustment and Zoning Commission, including a term as Chair of the Zoning Commission. He assists clients with property use, zoning, and local approval procedures. Adam’s business practice includes business acquisitions and sales, real estate transactions, and corporate governance.
As part of Adam’s commitment to the community association industry, he serves on the Community Associations Institute’s (CAI) national Business Partners Council. Adam also regularly presents educational programs for community managers and volunteer directors and writes about community association matters. In 2025, Adam was recognized as a Leaders in the Law honoree by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.
A Greensboro native, Adam was elected to represent District 4 on the Greensboro City Council in 2025. His community service has included work on the City’s Human Relations Commission, Criminal Justice Advisory Commission, and Greensboro ABC Board. He has also participated in a North Carolina Coastal Federation work group addressing nature-based stormwater strategies to reduce flooding and improve water quality.
