Biography:
Jonathan “Jon” Raymer is a partner at Law Firm Carolinas whose practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate. Based in Greensboro, he represents builders, developers, investors, and property owners in purchases, sales, closings, financing, and other real estate transactions.
Jon assists with purchase and refinance closings, commercial leases, financing agreements, title issues, declarations, easements, and rights-of-way. His work ranges from residential transactions to complex commercial projects.
He also handles property sales involving estates, trusts, and dissolved business entities, as well as transactions involving Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and commercial loan defeasances.
Jon has practiced real estate law in North Carolina since 2010, first in Winston-Salem and, since 2013, in Greensboro. He regularly writes about real estate topics, including title questions and practical issues that arise during purchases and closings.
Outside the office, Jon enjoys cycling, hunting, fly fishing, and homebrewing.
