Biography:
Joseph W. “Joe” Thompson IV is a partner at Law Firm Carolinas whose practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate. Based in Charlotte and licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina, he represents buyers, sellers, lenders, and developers in transactions throughout both states.
Joe assists with purchases, sales, refinancing, title examination and title issues, and contract preparation and review. His experience includes managing teams responsible for residential and commercial closings across the Carolinas, with attention to the local requirements that can affect a transaction.
His practice also includes foreclosures, loan workouts, landlord-tenant matters, and civil litigation. He has represented national financial institutions, mortgage servicers, real estate developers, homebuilders, and title insurance companies. His broader experience includes estate planning, probate, and business matters.

Outside the office, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, particularly on the beaches of South Carolina.
