Biography:
T. Keith Black is a partner and co-founder of Law Firm Carolinas and a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law. Based in Greensboro, he has more than 40 years of experience helping clients address family law matters and civil disputes through negotiation, mediation, and trial.
Keith advises and represents clients in separation, divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution. He helps clients understand their options and the financial and personal considerations involved in resolving these matters.
Keith also serves as a mediator in family law cases, working with parties and their attorneys to resolve disputes outside the courtroom.
Keith’s real estate practice includes representing national and regional home builders from raw land acquisition through the closings and sales of completed homes to homeowners. He also works with local real estate agents and brokers to assist buyers with residential real estate closings.
His broader practice includes civil litigation, contract disputes, and representation of homeowner associations. He has represented real estate companies, developers, and apartment communities in disputes involving leases, property damage, discrimination allegations, and retaliatory eviction claims.
Keith has taught continuing legal education programs for the Greensboro Bar Association and North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
