Biography:

Carole R. Albright is a partner at Law Firm Carolinas and a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law. Based in Greensboro, she has practiced family law since 1995, helping clients address separation, divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and the division of marital property.

Carole helps clients understand their options and the practical considerations involved in resolving family law matters. Her representation includes negotiation, mediation, and litigation. She works toward agreements when appropriate and prepares clients for court when disputed issues require a hearing or trial.

Carole is also a Certified Family Financial Mediator and Certified Parenting Coordinator. She is available to mediate family financial matters throughout North Carolina. When serving as a neutral mediator, she helps parties and their attorneys explore possible agreements rather than advocate for either side. Her parenting coordination work helps families address recurring disputes about implementing parenting arrangements within the scope of the applicable appointment.

Carole also maintains a national parliamentary law practice. She is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian, a Fellow, and an officer of the American College of Parliamentary Lawyers. Together with fellow Law Firm Carolinas attorney Jim Slaughter, she serves as a professional parliamentarian for national associations, governing boards, and large multiday conventions across the country.

Carole helps organizations conduct effective, legally sound, and well-managed meetings. Her work includes parliamentary procedure, governance, election procedures, convention rules, Bylaws revision, and meeting strategy. During board and membership meetings, she provides real-time procedural guidance and suggested language to the presiding officer.

Carole joined Law Firm Carolinas in 2006 and previously served as Managing Partner. She also manages the firm’s criminal law and traffic matters.

Teaching has been an important part of Carole’s career. She has served as Chair of the Paralegal Department at Guilford Technical Community College and taught at Concord Law School, Wake Forest University School of Law, and Guilford College.

Outside the office, Carole enjoys tennis, coaching sports, and playing card and board games. She and her husband, Stuart, enjoy traveling and spending time with their sons, Griffin and Tyler.
