Biography:
Harmony W. Taylor is a partner at Law Firm Carolinas whose practice focuses on homeowner and condominium association law and civil litigation. Based in Charlotte, she represents community associations throughout North Carolina in ongoing legal matters and disputes.
Harmony advises boards and community managers on governing documents, board authority, covenant enforcement, assessments, contracts, and board and membership meetings. She helps clients understand their legal responsibilities, evaluate available options, and consider the costs and practical consequences of their decisions.
Her litigation practice includes association, real estate, and contract disputes, as well as representation in fair housing and discrimination proceedings. She has participated in hundreds of mediations and more than 20 jury trials, with experience in North Carolina trial and appellate courts.
Harmony is a Fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers and serves on its national Board of Governors. Her professional leadership also includes service as past Chair of the Community Associations Institute’s North Carolina Legislative Action Committee, Co-Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Community Association Law Group, and a member of the Association’s Real Property Section Council.
Her legislative work has included developing proposals, working with lawmakers, and addressing issues affecting community associations. She has also authored a friend-of-the-court brief for the North Carolina Supreme Court in a case involving solar panels and community association restrictions.
Harmony regularly teaches programs for attorneys, community managers, and volunteer directors. Her presentations have included CAI’s national Annual Conference, Community Association Law Seminar, and North Carolina Law Day programs. She also writes about association governance, voting, financing, property issues, and litigation.
Harmony was recognized as a Leaders in the Law honoree by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly in 2025. Her commitment to public service also includes volunteer legal work and recognition by the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society.
